As we are often fully booked at peak times, it is a great idea to book in advance. We do not deduct any charges from your credit card when you make your booking and you can change your booking online up to 8-10pm hours before your 1 pm check-in time without cost or penalty by using your log-in and password that is emailed to you when you confirm your booking.

    Beachside Backpackers has a fully-equipped kitchen open 24 hours where you can cook and store food during your stay.

    All guests are welcome to use the kitchen facilities, provided that they clean up after cooking and consider the needs of other guests.

    We have an extensive, bordering on obsessive, range of board games. Surfboards for hire and lifts to the closest beginner’s beach each day. Daily social activities & social nights. Yoga mats.     Activities include wine tasting, trips to coastal walks, quizzes, pool comps, and much much more.

  • Check-in / Check-out

    Check-in is from 1 pm each day. Please let us know if you are arriving after midnight as we might need to send you our door code :)
    Midday checkout - Feel free to hang out till your bus.
    You are able to store your luggage until it’s time to leave us.

  • Linen

    Guests must use sleeping sheets or linen when sleeping at Beachside Backpackers.
    We provide linen free of charge. Blankets and pillows are provided but you will need to bring your own towels.
    Sleeping bags are prohibited due to Australian health regulations.

  • Modifying your reservation

    Contact us directly or you can change your booking online up to 24 hours before your 2 pm check-in time without cost or penalty by using your log-in and password that is emailed to you when you confirm your booking.

  • Cancellation policy

    The hostel has a 24-hour no-cancellation policy.

  • Noise curfew

    The kitchen, lounge area, and back courtyard are open 24/7, we just ask you to be mindful of your fellow guests.
    The front courtyard is closed from 10 pm as we are mindful of our neigbours.

  • Payments.

    Payment can be made by cash or card when you arrive at the hostel to check in.
    We do not deduct any charges from your credit card when you make your booking.

  • Are children able to stay?

    Sorry, we do not accept children in the hostel.
    Our target market is backpackers between the ages of 18-35. While we are happy to accommodate guests outside this age group (and some of our most amazing guests have been older), older guests should be aware we are structured to appeal to a younger market.

  • Solar power

    We want to keep the world healthy, which is why we get our power directly from the sun via our solar panels.
    We also have filtered rainwater tanks for our showers and bathroom sinks.
